DOLCEVITA IN RHEINHESSEN

BARN CONVERSION

In the stables of an old barn, which was redefined in cooperation with an architect from Wiesbaden to become the center of the customer’s life, Walter Wendel was given the task of developing a concept for a spacious kitchen.

The old structure had to be preserved and integrated as far as possible.

The threshing floor and quarry stone walls were carefully uncovered and processed.

A coarse-grained fair-faced screed with the appearance of a

Terrazzo floor was introduced.

The clearly structured design of the furniture sets an exciting counterpoint to the old building structure.

An 8 meter long concrete block in the middle forms the heart for cooking, communicating and drinking wine, just for the Rhenish-Hessian dolce vita.
